GL villa | 2024
Irkutsk | built
This project involves the restoration and architectural reimagining of a luxury villa located on the shore of a pond. The key concept was to preserve the spirit of the existing building while creating a new spatial composition open to nature and light. The contemporary façade design and updated landscape structure emphasize the house's connection to the water and natural surroundings, transforming the site into a cohesive architectural space.
The landscape design is based on the idea of a seamless transition from architecture to nature. Terraces, patios, and walking paths create scenarios for movement and relaxation, while plant compositions are arranged in a single rhythm with the lines of the façades. The project utilizes natural materials—stone, wood, and glass—that allow the architecture to literally blend into the surrounding landscape.
Visual accents are built around the water—the pool, pond, and open shoreline. These elements become a reflection of the architecture and an integral part of its image. The project combines minimalist aesthetics with respect for the natural environment, creating a harmonious space for privacy and contemplation.
